On day one of the 4 days western Uganda religious tour, you will embark on the road trip to western Uganda with a stopover in Mityana lies Uganda Martyrs’ church believed to be a place where St Noah Mawaggali was killed. He was found in a house where he shared with St Luke Baanabakintu together with St Matia Mulumba and other catechists. By this time of his death, St Luke and Matia had been arrested in Munyonyo already. Today, a church is established standing his memory, finished in 1964 alongside Noa Mawaggali’s house/chapel with three pillars above representing three good friend Uganda martyrs that’s Noah Mawaggali, Matia Mulumba and Luke Baanabakintu.
after soaking into the history of this place you embark on road drive to Mubende for lunch.
After lunch and road side snack, you will proceed to Nakayima tree, a faith-based place and intensely valuable place for the Buganda kingdom.
Later return to the hotel for dinner and night rest.
On day two, you will wake up to have a delicious breakfast then proceed to Kakumiro to visit the historically first Seventh Day Adventist church in Uganda. This was the first church to be established in Uganda before shifting to Kireka where it exploded to other parts of the country.
- From Kakumiro, you will proceed to Uganda Martyrs’ Kako catholic church in Kyegegwa. This is is where the site that served as a resting place for missionaries who were enroute to Toro region in 1933. In the year 1980s, it was set up as pilgrimage place for the Uganda Martyrs celebration point in Kyegegwa for the believers that didn’t go to Namugongo.
After exploring the Uganda Martyrs’ Kako catholic church, you will proceed to your booked facility for dinner and night rest.
On this day three, you will wake up at leisure, have breakfast and pack out of the hotel for a road drive to Kyenjojo.
After an approximate 1.15 hours drive, you will reach to Kyenjojo based Adolf Ludigo pilgrimage site. Established at the outskirt’s pf the catholic parish, St Adolf Ludigo was one of the pegs who were abducted from Tooro and taken to work at the Buganda kingdom palace. He became of the Uganda Martyrs’’ because of the refusal to denounce his newly found faith or religion.
At St Adolf Ludigo site, all the Uganda Martyrs’ are painted on the rocks and one can clearly move around plating to one by one. You will spend a full day praying, hiking.
Later return ng for dinner and nigh rest in the pre-booked facility.
Day Four: Return back to Kampala
Wake up at leisure, have breakfast and check out for a transfer back tp Kampala/Entebbe. You will have a stopover in Mubende for roadside snack and eventually before proceeding arriving Kampala late afternoon.
